Use Your Talents On Tour To Make Friends And/ Or Money

punkhaircut.jpgAre you sweating it out as we speak on Warped Tour? Do you cruise across the country meeting 4 different bands every night from show to show? One of the things we see time and time again on the road is some everyday needs are hard to come by on tour. Though a few smart musicians do pitch in and help others as well as themselves. Over the years on the road I would meet some bands with great skills that would offer fans and the other bands they would meet along the way their skilled hand, making them money, friends and appreciation.

If you are good at haircuts, guitar setups, drum repair, tattoos, van repair etc. Many of the people you meet on the road would love your help. I have seen members who are good at haircuts bring their tools on the road and cut fans and other band members hair for tips. This makes friends and helps pay the bills on the road as well as winning you a favorable reputation with everyone you encounter. This isn’t a selfish thing, despite helping your band on tour anyone who has been on the road for 30 days and cant get some cheap help is VERY appreciative of it. If you have a skill that can be helpful to the other acts in your situation let everyone know, life on the road can be painful and if you can make it easier everyone involved with be grateful.
