Everyone these days needs Adobe Photoshop at some point. Whether you need to make a banner ad, alter a press photo, or work on album art. The problem is this software is not cheap but you need it to accomplish the tasks at hand. In steps Gimp, an oddly named open source Photoshop alternative that is able to do anything the average Photoshop user needs to do. I recently started using Gimp to alter some of the stupid photos you see on our site and do work for some bands that we work with and I have been nothing but impressed. Get yourself a free and legal alternative to Photoshop and start getting the work you need to done on the cheap.
