Freecycle is one of those great ideas you can’t believe didn’t happen sooner. Freecycle is a list where you post stuff you are giving away for free. It operates on the idea of one mans junk is another’s treasure (there is a joke about your drummer and his girlfriend somewhere in that analogy). You can post things like a couch or the GLM bass you outgrew and someone will contact you and come pick it from you. As well, you can be the person who comes and get’s it. This a great way to accumulate some extra instruments or contribute to another less fortunate person getting the chance to make music. Don’t smash that PDP drum set at your next gig. Give it away on Freecycle. Spread the word the more people who know about it, the better it gets!
