Now that we found out how to get people to write about you, how do you keep them writing about you? One of the better tricks I learned about this was from doing this site. Recently, we wrote an article about Amanda Palmer asking Roadrunner to drop her. I noticed about a week later I was added to her email list. How did this happen? Someone on Ms. Palmers team saw that I wrote an article on her from a Google Alert most likely. They then added me their mailing list knowing I was willing to cover what she does. Now look, I am writing about her again! If you see anyone writing about you/your band it would be a good idea to add them on to your mailing list ASAP and friend them on Twitter. If it is written on a blog show your acessability and write a comment thanking them! All of these techniques will ensure good publicity in the future.
