Many bands have asked us if we can help them. The answer is yes. We now provide cutting-edge marketing and consulting services for bands. Read on.

Anyone who has ever read Musformation.com knows that we have an earnest passion and deep understanding of the New Music Industry that is difficult to rival. We prefer to think of the blog Musformation and our Music Services as two similar entities that often compliment each another. We have long felt that by contributing to our community and spreading new ideas we will help strengthen it and gain a better understanding of how to rebuild a crippled and often outdated industry. Musformation Services is where we put into practice the information and techniques that we have learned from working our beat in the industry - we provide our clients with forward-thinking methods that prove successful in the real world of today's ever-changing music climate.

Far too many marketing and promotion campaigns try to push artists to do only that which other successful artists have done before. While this does occasionally work, it is often the artists who set themselves apart who get the most attention. Our focus is on talking to the artist directly and finding out what is special and unique about them and accenting those things, making all parties involved more comfortable and making it much easier to get you the attention you want. We come up with a unique and individualized plan for every artist we work with, avoiding one-size-fits-all strategies that nearly always fail.  Our objective is to always make the artists we work with be the leaders of their own musical destiny by highlighting and amplifying the idiosyncrasies that make them great.  Each and every artist has something unique about them and a different set of goals - we work for as long as it takes to create a specific formula for you that helps you get exactly where you want to go.

The clients we deal with are both large and small, on majors and indie labels or sometimes completely independent and going at it their own way. If there is anything you think we could help with or questions you think we can help answer, please drop us an email here. As ardent members of the industry ourselves, we have an honest interest in the success of our clients - we will do our best to tell you where your money should be spent - even if that means it's not with us. We are a part of a progressive New Music Industry that is letting go of the archaic and obsolete ideas of the past and eagerly embracing an exciting musical future.  Come join us!

Jesse Cannon

bio_jesse.jpg
Jesse has worked in every aspect of the music industry from running record stores, playing in bands, managing bands, booking numerous clubs, running a record label and a PR dept. and radio engineering. He is most known as a recording engineer and producer who has worked with a wide range or acts like The Cure, Animal Collective, Limp Bizkit, and The Misfits. Somehow between that and editing Musformation.com he has the time to still work with artists and run Musformation services. In the rare event he is not working he enjoys reading about politics and economics, hopefully while eating Indian food.

Todd Thomas

Singer and guitarist for the band Sensual Harassment, Todd has been a musician and unabashed gear junkie for over 15 years.  Todd has a degree in Creative Writing from the University of North Carolina Wilmington and worked as music journalist for 4 years.  Before coming to Musformation, he spent 4 years in NYC working in online marketing and web design.  His other interests include: fitted clothing, cheap wine, film noir cinema and vintage Roland gear produced before 1989.

Jackie Brennan

Jackie, a native of New Jersey, has spent the better part of her life between NYC and the magical Garden State. She transplanted herself to the Midwest in 2004 and holds a Bachelor's degree in Interactive Digital Media and Photography from Webster University. She currently does freelance web and software development. Jackie and her army of talented designers and developers handle all of the technical and design functions for Musformation.com and Musformation Services. When she's not geeking out in front of the computer, she's probably on the phone with Jesse engaged in tech talk. Otherwise, she enjoys dancing, reading, and eating sushi.
