Releasing A Song For A Stream Is A Fools Game – Maximize Your Sharing

One of the things that makes me sad is to still see friends living like it was 2006 and putting up a song on MySpace when they release something. This does not enable you to harness the potential of your songs. Every time you put out a new song you have the potential to capture your new fans contacts and have them stay in touch with you as well as spreading the word about your music.

Simply offering a stream means that everyone who liked it may never hear from you again. Whereas if they can follow you on Facebook or spread the word via Tweet to encourage others to follow or get their email address, you can stay in contact and continue to gain fans. Putting up song for a stream on MySpace or some other website is a lose-lose situation. You lose the chance for them to stay in touch with you, and lose the chance for them to spread the word about your music to all of their friends.

Enter the Musformation Share Widget (as seen above). We have developed a widget that will allow you to trade your fans emails, tweets or Facebook Likes (coming soon we will also be enabling Facebook shares) for a download. This will enable you to build lasting relationships with your fans and make sure you get the full potential out of your next release. For pricing and more details email us.
