A classic way to get your chorus to pick up or get bigger is to add percussion. Whether it is live, from a loop, or a drum machine, percussion can give that subtle lift and excitement to the chorus that really takes it over the top. There is nothing like the excitement of a well played tambourine track kicking in on a chorus or even a bridge!
