Is PumpAudio A Scam?

Ouch! Over on the blog Digital Beat Music there is a scathing tale of unhappiness with the popular audio licensing service PumpAudio (known to some as Getty Audio). This summer Pump changed their terms shifting to a 65/35 split which the blogger has some qualms with. Check out a interesting perspective on this issue and let us know any feeling you have in the comments section.

    Dear Editor:
I’ve been a professional songwriter since 1962, so I think I can smell a skunk when one creeps out from below a rotting shed toward the back of the property. Any outfit that wants more for shopping a song than the creation and production of it is like a hard, twisting shot to the belly. They should offer free medical because this policy is bound to cause acres of pain to any artist worth her or his salt. Greed is rampant in our society. If 50%
is good enough for established publishers it should be sufficient for
Pumpers and Samolian Pirates–who may be in bed together. BE BLESSED!!
