From The Readers: What Is The Best Metronome For Under $50?

At Musformation we always encourage our readers to write in and ask us questions. When we answer these questions we encourage your feedback in the comments, as our post is merely our personal opinion. With that said our first question comes in asking, “what is the best metronome I can buy for under $50?” My answer would be theBoss DB-30. As someone who has seen hundreds of bands bring their metronomes in for preproduction, this is the only cheap metronome that has good functionality and a loud enough headphone output to cut through a loud rock band. While you aren’t going to be able to program complex tempo changes into the DB-30, this will work for the majority of musician’s needs plus more! We still recommend drummers buying a set of isolation headphones in order to hear the click in a loud environment, but this could be a great cheap metronome to power whichever headphones you may choose.
