We rave a lot about the Electro-Harmonix Pog, an awesome and versatile octave pedal that came out just a few years ago. Now EH has announced they are releasing a POG 2. What’s so special about the 2nd edition? Apparently, a lot. First off, the POG 2 can save your favorite settings (up to 8), which seems very useful on a pedal like this which can get pretty hairy when trying to remember your exact sounds. In addition there is also a 2nd sub-octave that has been added making it 5 polyphonic harmonies that are available to you. EH also claims to have improved the actual sound of the pedal by enhancing the previous algorithms. The pedal comes in EH’s new style “rugged” chasis and looks to be smaller than the old full-size POG. No videos or sounds clips available yet, but this is certainly one to keep an eye out for. No word on the ship date but as always, we’ll keep you posted on the breaking news.
