Great post and I couldn't agree more. Crowdfunding for musicians is going to be one of the biggest game changers in history. Even Lefsetz is all over it.

I've been wanting to make a lyrics video How is it accomplished?
By the way, the lyrics and accompanying music used for the demo left something to be desired, perhaps silence.

I hate Best Buy and never buy there or WAL-Mart, but I still like to have an album of vinyl or cd in my hands because of the following reasons: They sound better and any listening test will prove that. CD's and vinyl have proper liner notes which Hardly EVER make it to Mp3s in the right way. ARTWORK suffers in a lot of ways, as typically people just look at front covers only and ignore everything else. Cohesive album listening suffers as well, because audio is typically segregated in most cases to ensure the .99 cent sale which can kill the flow of the album.
I will continue buy CD's and Vinyl, even though I am apparently being mocked as some outdated dinosaur which I completely resent from you as a fellow musician, considering the poor audio representation we have had to endure. Go watch your HD video on a 2 inch screen with your crappy compressed mp3 sound and leave the quality audio to us "luddites." It's not our fault the industry took a step BACKWARD in QUALITY. I do not fear new media as long as the media does not SUBTRACT from the old media in the most important areas! Who sounds silly now? You and every other person that touts Mp3s as better. They only win two areas: storage and portability. That's not enough.
