Bring All Of Your Equipment To The Studio!

One of the things I encourage bands to do when we are planning a record is to make sure they bring every piece of musical equipment they have to the studio. Whether it is your older brother’s Casio from the 80′s, a Melodica,  or some weird toy you found in a thrift store. The more creative options you have in the studio for you and your producer to choose from the better and more creative options you have. Often times bands will say “I have this piece of crap pedal at home called a ___” they will say this and I will exclaim “I love that pedal you should have brought it, it sounds great on drums!” Bring anything and everything even if something you find to be totally dumb it may be really useful to your producer/engineer. Bring it all and let the song sort it out!
