Fugazi has always been a band I have idolized in the studio and especially on stage. One of the first live lessons I learned was from watching them. If you play aggressive music and you move around a lot, tape your cables and pedals down with duct tape. I’ve done it since I was very young and it has always been helpful. During a live show, all manner of things happen – you rock out, you sweat, bleed, dance and throw your gear around – bad things are bound to happen at some point. Having your cables get unplugged at an inopportune moment in a show can really ruin it sometimes. For those of us who are not yet using wireless, duct tape can, once again, save a musicians day.
