Back To Mono Part 5: Stereo Balances

When recording songs with two guitars (or any instruments) with very different tones panned hard left and right, it can be hard to get the perfect balance. One of my favorite tricks in these instances is to pop the mix into single speaker mono. I then automate the instruments in this mode to make sure they are cutting the way they should at all times. This makes it easy to make decisions that work well for all of my mixes.
