We have been discussing the importance of stats a lot lately. Whether talking TopSpin, Rockdex, Google Analytics, ArtistData or Band Metrics all of these sites are taking statistics about what your fans are doing very seriously and as should you. With that said there are 2 big announcements on the stats front from two of the big names in the game.
First off ArtistData has announced that they are opening their platform with an API. What does this mean? It means that whoever you do your digital distribution with will have the ability to export their data and artists will be able to see improved stats to help their marketing efforts and concentrate on what is important.
